About Us

Peace of the Rock Ministries is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1998.  Having a desire to provide a place for the community that would bring people together on common ground, God provided Rancho De La Roca Retreat Ranch as the ministry place to do just that.

Our Mission is to organize Christian outreach events for all ages and bring down barriers between denominations through these events for the common cause of Christ.

Outreach Events Sponsored by Peace of the Rock

• Spring - Easter bunny Picnic: eat lunch at the Picnic Patch, visit the Easter Bunny and hear Mary tell the true story of Jesus at Mt. Calvary.
• Summer - Celebration Independence: celebrate the 4th with food, fireworks, and fun.
• Winter - Christmas Roundup: roundup the gang at the ranch for a hayride to Bethlehem, cobbler and cider at the chuck wagon and Christmas carols around the campfire...awaiting Santa's arrival Texas style.

Mission Projects

• Project Mission Field: an opportunity to be involved in a short term mission trip.
• Project Manna: soldier and family support of Marines-Army-Navy-Nat'l Guard-Air Force during time of war with prayer, pen-pals, and care packages.
• Feed the Need: providing food to families in need throughout the community
• Crisis Intervention: providing financial help to families in time of crisis
• Family Enrichment: hosting family fun days to families during difficult situations

• Denton Freedom House - Christian men's home created to help free addicts, alcoholics, and others from their bondages by the life changing power of Jesus Christ and help restore them to productive members of the community.  http://www.dentonfreedomhouse.org

• Gideons International Denton Camp - winning the lost for Christ with scripture distribution in hotels, hospitals, doctor offices and college campuses locally and internationally.  http://www.gideons.org
• Hearts For Homes - a Christian based ministry providing no cost home repairs to low income elderly homeowners in Denton County http://www.heartsforhomes.org
• Rafiki Foundation - Christian organization helping Africa's orphaned become godly contributors to their community and the world.  http://www.rafiki-foundation.org
• Simple Wisdom Ministries - presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Latin America through short term mission trips.  http://www.wisdomminitries.net
• Woman to Woman Pregnancy Resource Center, Denton - Denton County's only crisis center, empowering women to make wise life choices through education and truth.  http://www.dentonprc.org
